Foaled 25 February 2025, by Toby's Samson and out of RVF's Layla. Silver bay. Registration number 2025489492. We bred him. Not yet certified. Inbreeding 7.36%. We rehomed him with Ann Simonsen. The public registry still lists us as owner until that transfer is posted. His dam, Layla, has been rehomed too.
The DRS prefix is ours on his papers. He is the first recorded Samson foal out of Layla, and he is the example of what her Rio Valley breeding does to Samson's inbreeding number. Layla is 1.16%. Samson is 12.40%. The colt lands at 7.36% because Layla's sire line already carries Broken Bone's Sam's Son.
Sire: Toby's Samson. Dam: RVF's Layla. The registry does not publish a silver test result on his individual line the way it does for Legacy. His color is silver bay, which is silver expressed. Treat him as a silver carrier until a laboratory result says otherwise.
